Jaipur the beautiful Pink City and capital of Rajasthan. Established on 18th November 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The king shifted his capital from Ajmer (11 km away from Jaipur) to Jaipur, due to scarcity of water and increase in population. The city was built as per the principles of Vastu Shastra under the architectural guidance of Chief Architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya.
