About Prayagraj.

Prayagraj stands on the site of ancient Prayag, located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated at the confluence of three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati. The meeting point is known as Triveni and is especially sacred to Hindus. The city is also referred as Tirth raj or the King of all pilgrimage centers. The Doaba region, including Prayag was controlled by several empires and dynasties in the ages to come. It became a part of the Mauryan and Gupta Empires of the east and the Kushan Empire of the west before becoming part of the local Kannauj Empire.

When the Muslim rule came, Prayag became a part of the Delhi Sultanate and later been part of British Empire. The main tourist attraction of Prayagraj are Triveni Sangam, Khusro Bagh, Anand Bhawan, Prayagraj Museum, Jawahar Planetarium, Prayagraj Fort, Chandrashekhar Azad Park,  All Saints Cathedral, Swaraj Bhavan, Akshayavat, Sumitranandan Pant Park, Thornhill Mayne Memorial, Bargad ghat ancient Hanuman temple, Madan Mohan Malviya park, Mankameshwar temple, Bharadwaj Ashram, Shankar Viman mandapam, Clock tower, St. Joseph Church, Nagvasuki Temple, Prayagraj University, Muir Collage, Mayo Memorial Hall and Prayagraj Pillar.
