About Jammu.

Jammu the winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir union territory is situated on a hillock, on the bank of river Tawi in northern India. The Pir Panjal Range separates it from the Kashmir Valley and the Himalayas in the east. It is believed that the city was originally founded by Raja Jamboo Lochan who lived in fourteenth century B.C. In 8th century the city of Jammu was the capital of the Dogra dynasty and later it became part of the domain of the maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 19th century.

The main tourist attraction of Jammu are Vaishno Devi Temple, Raghunath Temple, Bahu Fort, Peer Kho Cave, Bhimgarh Fort,  Time Baag-e-Bahu, Manda Zoo, Amar Mahal Palace, Mubarak Mandi Palace, Sidhra Golf Course, Ranbireshwar Temple, Dogra Art Museum, Rajender Park, Shiv Khori, Dudhadhari Mandir, Balidan Stambh, Raghunath Bazaar, Sheesh Mahal, Purmandal, Akhnoor Fort, Surinsar Lake, Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary, Baba Dhansar, Dargah Garib Shah, Mahamaya Temple, Poonch Fort and Bhairo Baba Temple.
